Easily our most famous work, Rainbow Dash Presents took My Little Pony fanfics and turned them into a ridiculous mess of misreading and bad intentions. The one thing almost every story had in common was that they resonated with readers one way or another, and overlooked a few details along the way.
And though the years may pass and we grow old, we haven’t forgotten our roots. Where Are We features the characters as depicted in Rainbow Dash Presents, but older, with children, and with successful careers, or a washed out acceptance of their own limits.
DinkySharkFighter32 was a short couple of episodes based on the advent of early social media. At the time this was made, people making low-effort blogs full of bad information was considered silly, and not a blockbuster, multi-million dollar idea. My, how naive we were.
It really all began with the Mentally Advanced Series, which was done in the “abridged” style by hacking up a show into something shorter and sillier. However, we ran into a bunch of issues with copyright claims and AI giving us grief, so that original series was one day scrapped. Instead, I attempted to start over anew by drawing it all myself. The results were a bit rough around the edges to say the least, and audio later got damaged by more copyright bots erroneously laying claims to things they didn’t have rights to.
As the character of My Little Pony changed, the original parodies didn’t seem to fit as well, so I took a new direction with the Nepotism Adventure Series. It was originally intended as a long arc, where the ponies create, then solve, an apocalyptic problem, but it fizzled out after three episodes.
When Youtube began to move towards “engagement” content, it resulted in something people liked to call “analysis”. It wasn’t always very analytical, and Peel Off is a spoof of the essential art that “analysis” was. If it doesn’t make sense, don’t worry, you had to be there. My favorite part of this series was how much fan art it produced, because all those drawings were authentic and sent to me during streams while I worked on the animation.
