There’s some content that doesn’t fit into any one category really well, but is still worth checking out, anyway.
The “Allen Hour” were skits that my friend and I performed while we were sharing an apartment. Easily the most notable videos are the “Rupert Ones”, which Allen still jovially yet ruefully describes as kind of a bastard thing I did. He confessed that puppets creeped him out, so I made the creepiest puppet he’d ever seen. Allen’s discomfort around Rupert was not acting.
Because we needed background music, I used to toss together a bunch of stuff using Sony Acid and a bunch of loops I found on the internet. Some of the loops were things I made myself, but quite a lot of it is just things I could find. The commitment to doing this every Monday resulted in a pretty substantial seventy-seven songs, a library which I still go back to whenever I decide I need some kind of background track but don’t want to do a lot of work. If the links aren’t broken, these tracks are open to the public, provided you don’t do anything malicious with them.
While I can’t promise this video is going to stay up indefinitely because the bandwidth costs of hosting video is still not within my practical reach, even using the webm format, once upon a time we made a pretty ridiculous video called “Hairy Porter”.
